Privacy Policy

Effective date: April 20, 2026

1. Introduction

Flarex (“we,” “us,” or “our”) provides StoreIQ, a Shopify application that connects to your Shopify store to deliver analytics, revenue insights, and AI-generated optimization recommendations (the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect information when you install or use StoreIQ.

By installing or using StoreIQ, you acknowledge that you have read this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information needed to operate StoreIQ and to provide insights to you as the merchant. Depending on your Shopify permissions and how you use the app, this may include:

  • Shopify account and store identifiers, such as your shop domain, shop ID, and OAuth tokens necessary to authenticate and maintain your connection to Shopify.
  • Store order data, such as order summaries, line items, amounts, statuses, and timestamps, as permitted by the scopes you grant.
  • Product data, such as product titles, variants, SKUs, pricing, and catalog structure, as permitted by the scopes you grant.
  • Inventory data, such as inventory quantities and related fields needed to assess stock risk and optimization opportunities, as permitted by the scopes you grant.
  • Analytics-related store information, such as performance signals and operational metrics derived from the data above or from Shopify APIs you authorize, used to contextualize recommendations.
  • Technical and operational data, such as app usage logs, error diagnostics, security signals, and approximate request metadata (for example, timestamps and generalized technical information) to maintain reliability and security.
  • Support communications you send to us (for example, email content and related details needed to respond).

You authorize this access when you approve StoreIQ’s requested permissions through Shopify’s OAuth flow. You can review and adjust app permissions in your Shopify admin according to Shopify’s controls.

3. How We Use Information

We use information to:

  • Provide the Service, including generating revenue insights and merchant-facing analytics.
  • Improve store performance recommendations, such as identifying low-performing products, inventory risks, and pricing opportunities.
  • Operate, secure, monitor, and improve StoreIQ (including troubleshooting, abuse prevention, and service quality).
  • Communicate with you about the Service, including support responses and important notices about your account or this policy.
  • Comply with applicable law and enforce our terms, including detecting and preventing fraud or misuse.

We do not sell your merchant data. We do not use your merchant data for advertising, including targeted advertising across third-party websites or apps.

4. AI Processing Disclosure

Certain features use artificial intelligence to generate merchant-facing insights and recommendations. To provide those features, we may send limited store data to trusted AI processing providers (for example, model hosting or inference providers) solely to generate outputs for your use inside StoreIQ.

When we use AI processing providers, we aim to:

  • Process only the minimum data necessary to deliver the requested insight or recommendation.
  • Use providers under contractual terms that restrict use of your data to providing the Service (and not for training their models for unrelated purposes, except where permitted by our agreements and applicable law).
  • Keep AI-generated outputs oriented to analytics and recommendations for your store, rather than unrelated purposes.

AI outputs may be imperfect. You should review recommendations before relying on them for business decisions. See our Terms of Service for additional disclaimers.

5. Data Sharing and Third Parties

We may share information only as described below:

  • Shopify: Information flows through Shopify’s platform and APIs as needed to operate an embedded Shopify app. Shopify’s handling of platform data is governed by Shopify’s terms and policies.
  • Service providers: We may use vendors for hosting, infrastructure, logging, monitoring, email delivery, security, and (where applicable) AI processing. These providers process data on our instructions and are not permitted to use your merchant data for their own marketing purposes.
  • Legal and safety: We may disclose information if required by law, legal process, or governmental request, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, safety, and security of Flarex, our users, or others.
  • Business transfers: If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to appropriate confidentiality and data protection measures.

We do not sell merchant personal information and we do not share merchant data for cross-context behavioral advertising.

6. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Retention periods may vary depending on the type of data and operational needs (for example, security logs may be retained for a limited period).

If you uninstall StoreIQ, we will delete or anonymize merchant data in accordance with our retention practices and Shopify’s requirements, subject to applicable law and legitimate business needs (for example, limited backups or records required for security, fraud prevention, or legal compliance).

7. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. These measures may include access controls, encryption in transit where appropriate for modern web services, monitoring, and vendor security requirements.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Merchant Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain processing of personal information, or to object to certain processing. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority where applicable.

To exercise rights, contact us at [email protected]. We may need to verify your request and may decline requests that are unlawful, excessive, or impractical.

You may uninstall StoreIQ at any time from your Shopify admin. Uninstalling stops ongoing syncing and processing through the app, subject to retention described above.

9. Cookies and Analytics

Our marketing website and app surfaces may use cookies or similar technologies as needed for basic functionality, session management, security, and (where used) limited analytics to understand aggregated usage and improve the Service.

Where required by law, we will obtain appropriate consent for non-essential cookies or tracking in accordance with applicable requirements.

Your continued use of StoreIQ after the effective date of an update constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy, except where your consent is required by law.
